Stress Management for Managers
Course Objectives
Stress affects all of us at some stage in our lives. It can be hugely beneficial, enabling us to achieve great heights; it can also be a destructive force. We need to understand what stress is, and to have stress management strategies in place to be able to handle it successfully.
Managers have a key role in minimizing stress in the workplace. The first thing they need to do is accept that stress exists in the workplace, and that it can be damaging if not recognised and acted upon. They need to recognise the symptoms of stress in the people they manage, because they cannot just assume that someone with stress will step forward and ask for help.
Managers need also to recognise the signs of stress in themselves, and know how to handle their own stress.
This seminar will enable the delegates to identify what stress is, where it comes from, and how management can minimise stress in their teams, as well as helping their teams minimise stress for themselves. It will also explore practical and realistic ways of handling stress.
