Train The Trainer
Course Description
Today's changing business environment means that organisations increasingly need people who are motivated, flexible and well trained. People who train others in companies must be able to inspire, train and develop staff effectively. Good training is a skill that takes time and effort to develop. This course is designed to help delegates who must design, develop and deliver relevant, memorable and exciting training courses.
By the end of the training, delegates will:
- be able to structure a training programme
- be able to select and produce material to suit the trainee(s)
- be able to run their programme effectively
- be able to monitor results
- have practised delivering training sessions, and been given feedback on their performance

- how do people learn? Different styles (yours and others') and adjusting your approach
- setting learning goals
- dangers of technically complex subject matter
- selecting the right training methods
- producing clear and memorable visual material
- producing trainee-friendly handouts
- designing effective exercises to help the learning stick
- performance skills
- managing the trainee group - conflict, feedback
- organising the physical training environment
- monitoring learning during and after the training
Training Methods
The course will be active, participative and practical, including a self- assessment questionnaire, reflective exercises, and skills practice, as well as input on key leadership skills.
Duration: Available as a two and three day programme, depending on your requirements.
