Working with the Germans
Objective
This seminar is designed to prepare the delegates to be able to communicate successfully with the Germans. By the end of the training the delegates will have understood the key elements that lead to working successfully with the Germans, as well as developing the communication skills essential to building successful business relationships with the Germans.
Outline of seminar
1. Know Yourself
What are your cultural values and behaviour? What will you need to adapt to enable you to develop successful business relations with the Germans?
2. Know the Germans
What are German cultural values and behaviour? How can you create a positive impression when doing business with them, and avoid unintentionally causing offence?
3. Deal with the Stereotypes
What stereotypes do you have about the Germans? How accurate are they? What stereotypes do the Germans have of you and your culture? How can you overcome any negative or stereotypical views?
4. Communicate Successfully with the Germans
Practice in doing business with the Germans:
- presenting clearly and effectively
- getting your message across
- using the right style of language and appropriate vocabulary – Offshore English
- handling meetings effectively
- negotiating with your German partners
- dealing with conflict effectively
- building lasting business relationships
- using small talk effectively
Duration: Offered as a half day, one day and two day programme, depending on your requirements. It is also available for One-to-One training.
